I have an immediate supervisor that has NOT given ANY employee awards out at all (for atleast the last 10 yrs that I know of), even though the employees under her receive outstanding comments/reviews from their peers. She rules by fear and intimidation and has NO respect or appreciation for her employees. She has special rules for her favorite worker and commands no mistakes rules for the rest of us. Honestly speaking, we function all fine WITHOUT her; she contributes ZERO to our daily work! Unfortunately her supervisor does not see this because we make our supervisor look good by the great job that WE do in OUR work. 99.9% of the employees under her feel this way but are afraid to challenge her. Is this the healthy way to do business? Like the saying goes in federal government, the higher you go, the less work you do! I am therefore AGAINST having my immediate supervisor have ANY control or say in my pay because of the above. I see ZERO fairness in this process given the attitude, totalitarian, authoritarian management style of my supervisor! Would you?
