I have read this new proposed program and I don’t like it at all. This program leaves too much leave way for retaliation. In short, if your supervisor doesn’t like you they show it in writing you up for everything and anything. I have been working for the government for more than 30 years and believe me when I say I have truly seen lots of changes, some even good. However, in recent years the system appears to be going backward instead of forward. I have seen the open return of racism and gender bias is running ramped. The good ole boy system is more alive than ever. Those employees that do much less and make the most mistakes get all of the recognition for doing a, so called, good job. The federal government gives no credit to those of us enduring till the end, as civilian employees with years of on the job training and teaching. Instead they hire military retirees and kids fresh out of school for new jobs and promotions. I am one person who wanted to join the military but could not because I had a child. I choose instead to devote my life’s work, working for the government. This program may work for newly hired employees but those of us with 20 or more years in service it should remain as it is.
