Agree -- the HR system needs overhauled! A system that makes sense is what we need! Here are my favorites from the proposed changes: 1. A performance management system that requires supervisors to set clear expectations and hold employees accountable. (It's about time!) 2. Make recognition of conduct a part of performance appraisals and for intense training for supervisors and managers (they need it!). 3. Performance pay increases based on performance rather than longevity. (I work hard and would like to be recognized with pay increases.) 4. Cutting out lengthy, detailed job descriptions. (Simple is best.) Streamlining HR will really make life easier on all of us. This has been very much needed. I am often frustrated at current hiring practices and rules that just don't make sense.
