I do not think this new pay system will work. It gives to much power to the Supervisors and if your Supervisor do not like you they can hurt your career. Not only will you not get a raise but a negative appraisal will cause to be dismiss. I do not feel that there is enough safeguard in place to discourge or prevent this type of actions. I feel the way it has been set up is not for the betterment of the organization. I feel it will cause more problems between co-workers. If I am doing my very best and the supervisor feel otherwise they can cause me and my co-worker to be at odds with each other and where there was once teamwork will be no more. I feel that the government will loose a lots of good employees because of this new pay system especially in larger cities. If I have to go through all this just to get a raise or a good apprasial why would I stay with the government when I can go to the outside and get a job in the corporate world paying more money with the same amount or less hassle. If a people have to worry about if their Supervisor will be fair or not or if they will loose money or get fired base on what their Supervisor put down in their appraisal the work will suffer. In summing up, I do not feel all the buds or all things have been look at or consider in putting this system in to effect. I feel that this will be a big mistake for Government to go to this.
