I think the new system will not do as designed. As demonstrated by past pay systems such as award money, the good old boy club is alive and well. In the past, I had a supervisor that believed he was the best there ever was so that none of us working for him deserved anything. For eight year I watched other work center employees get awards after award while ours received none. Of course the driver of the general foreman’s car pool always received not only an award but also the top dollar amount. I think favoritism is a real threat to good order. This system leads the door open to those type abuses. You are kidding your self if you don’t think personal one on one chemistry don’t come into play with individual inter actions with one and another. It’s not who does the best job but who smoozes the boss the best will determine ones pay. I believe the system will bring back the corrupt big government systems of favoritism of 1800’s.
