According to NSPS, pay increases and retention will depend on an employees performance no matter how long they've been with the Federal Government. Does this mean a person can be fired at the advise of a supervisor or someone in management without being given a chance to improve themselves, even after being with the government for so many years (most of their adult life)? Or what would cause an employee to lose their job? Also can a person be reduced in pay? if so what would cause a person to have funds, that's needed to provide for his/her family, taken from them? NSPS seems to be coming into place so fast that when a person reads the rules and regulations it gives them the impression that one mistake can cause their careers to be over. Also, will a persons seniority (longevity) have some meaning in NSPS?
