This is absolutly garbage, and UN - American ! This is THE WORST ! I have seen all too well how Supervisors in the past and present would love to have this! This will be a slap in the face to all workers. I personally have had a Supv. at Ft. Campbell that was the worst person anyone could work for. This is not just me saying this. Ask all of the boiler plant operators at Ft. Campbell! He gave me as well as other operaters average and poor performence grading to all operators! He was buddies with 2 people who he hired to be the boiler plant machanics, not of what they knew, but he was friends with. He gave them all out standing preformence grades, many on the spot awards, sent them to schools ect. He stole everything he could from the goverment. He would not come in to work, and told his 2 friends to tell pepole he was at meettings or not availible, BUT he was not on "leave" . In return, he would let his buddys take a day off when ever they wanted to and not charge them A/ leave. But he would have them fill out a leave slip to cover for them. Since he has retired, we got a new supv. and now and only now do the higher up in management realize just how bad he was and that he had them believe him. Since then, I have had schools, and several awards presented to me by the Post Commander. Management has since apologized to all the operators, and told us operators how good a job we have been doing. If the new law was in afect 2 years ago I would have been fired! Or he would have tried. I have over 31 years in the cival service ( 4 year vet) and I know that this will be used us in age discrimination, as well as who sucks up to a Supv.., those who do will get promoted, awards ect ect. Do not let this bill pass! Cival service workers are being run out fast enough. This is my third time I have had to up root and move to another state because of base closures and cival service jobs contracted out. We are asked to do more and more with less. There are too many "Chiefs" and not enough Indians as it is. We need to get rid (down size the upper management) this proposal is not in the interest of our goverment!
