I have severe trepidation about the NSPS because it increases the chances of favoritism occuring in the workplace. The bonus criteria are objective rather than subjective and open to interpretation by the supervisor or manager. Additionally, those of us who are stationed overseas receive a housing allowance based upon the current grade structure. This is based upon the U.S. State Department charts and statistics for each country and area. How will this be incorporated into the system. Also we who are overseas don't receive locality pay. How will we receive cost of living increases? The inequity that exists now is that U.S. Government civilians serving overseas don't receive locality pay and don't receive receive this creditable amount towards our retirement. Will this inequity be adressed in the NSPS?
