I am a GS-12 with 31 years of civil service working for the Dept of the Navy. I have tried to read and understand how this new simplified system is going to work. If it is so simple, why can't my command give me any information on how it will affect me? It would certainly seem appropriate for individuals with 25 to 30 years of service to be grandfathered into the old personnel system. This would help for retirement planning and high three calculations.
