I have worked for DoD for 26 years. I also severed in SWA for 6 months. I am upset that these proposals seem to treat the employees who have given a lot of years and dedication as if they have no rights. Most DoD employees work hard and are committed. I believe that NSPS is a scary change. I am very upset with the new NSPS. This system will change the way workers are paid, evaluated, promoted, fired, scheduled, and treated. These rules would create a system in which federal managers are influenced by favoritism rather than serving the solider in the field. I have personally been the victim of favoritism several times. I have missed out on jobs because a candidate's best friends were placed on the recruitment panel or the job was written specifically for someone. With NSPS I only see favoritism getting worse. Unfortunately for several years I had a manger that was a bully. He was eventually removed from his positon. If NSPS would have been in effect during that time I don't know what would have happened to me. There might be some good things in this package but I see more bad than good for the employee. NSPS is a managers dream come true.
