One of my concerns are how much money will it cost the Government to implement this new system? I have been employed by DOD for over 25 years and whenever there is some change (MAC to AMC) it costs so much money to get everything going - Are we prepared for this cost? A real big concern is giving so much "power" to supervisors - its scray because the "good old boy" is just about everywhere and I would hate to think giving the supervisor I have now that much power. My husband was active duty and I have traveled all over the world and I have seen many supervisors that have their "pets" and there is no way to get around that - and with this new system it would seem this could really get out of hand. Yes, there are people who do their job just to get by and then there are the employees who always go above and beyond--they get the same pay and awards. I am not sure how to fix that problem but it has been that way my entire career with DOD and I really don't think NSPS is the answer. I have read some of the other comments you have received and it seems people are worried about being fired, no raises, etc maybe these employees are scared because they realize what kind of job they really do under the old system?????
