SUBPART C - I believe this to be the strength of a long overdue change to the Federal Workforce Management system. I have only been a civilian in DoD for five years; however, I see many good and poor performers. We all get paid the same. Some employees just do the minimum amount of work they can get by with and some even do less than that. Some work very hard to make things better for our military, but they will eventually sucumb to human nature. It’s like we’re running an experiment to prove the usefullness of socialism within the federal workforce. We expect the good employees to produce at their maximum potential and not care that they get paid the same as the poor performers. How ironic is it – that we practice socialism within the one organization that has done more to bring down socialism in history – the US government.
