While I am not against a pay for performance system, I am afraid that we will be heading into the "good ol' boy" system of things. I have already seen it in work here at Sheppard with a questionable hire of someone over a disabled veteran. The general fear is that it will only get worse. Pay for performance is not a bad thing, pay for how you stand in the bosses standing is. Saw this while I was in. The people that party with the boss got the medals and the good trips to go on. If you were not in the inner circle, you were left out.
