These proposed regulations should be illegal. How can you hire people with the promise of certain rights and protections and then just take them away? You use National Security as your reason. Any intelligent person can see that this system will do nothing to help our National Security. We have a dedicated civilian workforce. There won't be one if these regulations go through. What about CSRS employees? You are saying that this system is based on performance and not longevity. Suppose you are an older worker who has given your Govt. great service for 25 or 30 years and now maybe you have slowed down some due to health reasons but you are still a good employee. If there is a RIF, you could lose your job and an employee of only 4 years can stay. How can you believe this is fair? All I know is that whoever wrote these regulations will some day have a higher power to answer to. Lucky for you that God is so forgiving. You should be ashamed of yourself.
