I've been a Department of Defense employee for over 28 years. I placed my work responsibility ahead of my family, now I'm told that this will not matter. When the Air Force told me to move, I did not hestiate. I left my family and friends and moved a state away. Now if a supervisor who may be 10 to 20 years my junior thinks I'm not performing up to his interpertation of "standards" he/she can fire me or not give me a raise. I feel cheated, let down and sadden. The system may need fixing, however, what is the rush. Slow down think it over. You are playing policitics with people's lives. I know I'll monitor who does what and make it point to vote on who does what.
