9901.607 Retention Standing at the end of part (a) item (3), ADD " performance will be considered equally with peformance for retention rating". Why? To be equitable, long term performance must be considered equally with performance. This allows more emphasis on performance and management insists they want and would continue to respect long term performance, dedication, and commitment. It would simply be wrong to allow a retention standing of 400 points and 5 years honorable dedicated service to be trumped by 425 points and 2 years of service. Longevity and performance must be rated equally.
