My supervisor uses the bonus now for the workers that help them at home, or if you are into fishing, drinking, or buying what ever the kids are selling you will get a max bonus, I see the pay for performance will be use the same way, if you are one of the boys you will be fine, it will have nothing to do with how much or how little someone works.It give supervisors too much power over the workers pay, remember the postal shooting, wasn't that over the employee's pay raises.The paid for performance put a supervisor face to face,it will give the empolyee a person to blame for not getting what they think they deserve. the way we get pay raises now is the best, with congress and the president approving what DOD employee should get with taking into account cost of living. also the FAA is under the pay for performance now, employees have not a raise( except a few,and upper mangemant) since 2004. this is not one of those things that is broken and we need to fix it, we have a great system that works, it just need to be left alone.
