Comments:
NSPS provides no tools to Government managers that they did not have previously. What NSPS does accommodate is Union busting and politicizes what was Civil Service. The long term results of NSPS will be detrimental to the American taxpayer, if not to democracy itself. Mid and even high level civil servants in the DoD acquisition community cannot withstand the political pressures now, as evidenced by situations such as Darleen Druyun, Air Force, and Halliburton’s no competition contract award, Army. NSPS will only exacerbate this trend. Law makers should read their history books to understand why Civil Service was created initially. Then they will understand the inability of NSPS to serve this country and the taxpayers fairly.
