Performance rating: To change the system is very unfair especially if your supervisor has a personal reason to give a poor rating. At the moment we have a redress system to make the ratings fair for everyone. Changing it will give the power to those who will abuse the system. It is important to give annual pay raise without fighting for them. Some states cost of living is much higher than others. Not giving the correct raises will force employee to leave, thus leaving a vacancy empty for a long period because people cannot afford to live or move into that state.
