Under pay banding, if you are converted to a specific pay band and your current salary is more than the pay band limit does this mean you will no longer be able to get annual raises, or will there be a waiver for that situation? If no waiver is granted this would adversely affect retirement benefits if you are within a few years of retiring. Even though this would not change the retirement system, implementation of NSPS would adversely affect future benefits received under that system. I understand they are having this problem at other pay-for-performance/pay banding agencies.
