I am a DoD Federal Employee (17 years of service). It is a most frightening thought having this kind of authority placed in the hands of a select few. I do not wish to see the Pay-for-Performance System become effective. I personally have experienced superviors who were unjust/unfair in their evaluations of my performance for any reason other than the performance itself. I am presently working a position which only a few years ago was held by four different paid employees. These four jobs were condensed into one position. The demands of the job have not changed. It is impossible to complete all requirements. I am presently blessed to have a supervisor who understands the dilemma which we now face. However, working under such conditions with the added stress of supervisor oppression would only create an atmosphere of a career disaster. Please do not give these individual such power. We as DoD employees have recieved undue and unfair treatment due to downsizing, contract employees replacing the GS employee, and now this new system. In all honesty I can say that I believe that my present supervisor would be in favor of promoting me at this time it were possible for he/she to do so. But there are so few individual who would operate in integrity and fairness that we would rather continue the system which we now have than to place our lives, the life of our children's future, our homes, careers in the hands of a very select few. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
