Pay Administration - I do not like the idea that my pay can be lowered if I have a supervisor who perhaps doesn't like me very much and writes up a bad performance evaluation for me - or the fact that the next level supervisor can change it. I have worked for 23 years going to college for my job and have worked hard for my GS11 salary - I do not want this to be jeopadized at this late date. I want to retire with the salary that I have worked hard for. This is terrible!!!! And if I don't agree with this action - who can I grieve this to - NSPS is taking away too many of my union rights. RIFs - can be based on performance over longevity???? So someone who comes into the government and has maybe 2 years with the government may not be RIF'd before me if the supervisor who loves them and dislikes me gave them a better rating? My 23 years mean nothing??? This too is horrendous - We hear how valued we are - how important we are - we are being kicked in the teeth. And on top of that you could deploy me???? I worked for the army at one time and I volunteered to deploy - and did - to Haiti - but I was younger and volunteered!!! As I near retirement I do not want to think that I could be deployed at 53 years old!!!! I love my country but this is ridiculous! You guarantee that employees will have due process and be protected? By whom? We need our union!!!! Do not kick government employees in the teeth after all the years we have given the government. NSPS is bad for government employees.
