When I attempted to link to the NSPS regulations I got a blank screen, however, my comments are based on a widely distributed e-mail I received from the President of IFPTE Local 12. 1. Pay. I'm in favor of pay based on performance, however, the IFPTE Local 12 e-mail indicated that government money to pay for these increased salaries may not be available. This concerns me. 2. Discipline. A worker's pay can be reduced up to 10% or more. If this pay reduction is based on two or three below average bi-annual performance evaluations, this concerns me, especially for workers who have a sustained record of 10 years or more of above average performance. In other words, a few negative performance evaluations submitted by one or two supervisors can unfavorably off-set a worker's retirement benefits if the negative evaluations resulted in a reduction in pay for the worker.
