§ 9901.101 – DoD says that it’s Guiding Principles for the proposed National Security Personnel System (NSPS) are: My answers are in italics. • To put mission first: Yeah right Halliburton’s not mine. • Respect the individual: Do exactly what I say and don’t question any of it or you’re gone. • Protect rights guaranteed by law, including the statutory merit system principles: Those laws do cover you, just what we want covered. • Value talent, performance, leadership, and commitment to public service: Just don’t think you can stay in government service because younger more “Talented” people will take over your job because you pissed me off. • Be flexible, understandable, credible, responsive, and executable: Move now and like it, or you’re gone. • Ensure accountability at all levels: Many levels and no one will say they made the call to do any action on any of the levels. Smoke and mirrors. • Balance human resources system interoperability with unique mission requirements: Hire your son and go straight to the top no questions. • Be competitive and cost effective: Compete for a job yearly(A-76) and we will spend the money and don’t question me.
