The proposed regulations strip basic workplace protections from workers who have earned the right to have them. What is the specific problem that you are addressing? Are DoD worker maintained planes falling out of the sky? Are army tanks failing in battle? Have collective bargaining rights prevented the DoD from completing a mission? There is no problem to address, just the desire to misuse the public trust to gain a foothold to use DoD civilians as quasi-reservists. Just as the National Guard didn't sign-up to the Iraqi National Guard, neither did DoD civilians sign-up to become "deployable assets".
