Labor Relations - Unions do not have very much power in the federal government at present time. However, under the new system the union would practically be useless. In having negotiations occur after a decision has been made to change a certain process doesn't make good sense. Also, saying that the managers only have to consult union views; but the managers have the final say is bad. There should be a concensus between the union and management on existing processes. Please leave the union / management agreement as it currently stands. Give us a little room to negotiate, it's all we have.
