I feel that the new system will be good if it isnt abused by the "good ole boy" system. I have worked civil service for over 2 years now and I have seen the hiring process abused by people who know each other rather then basing there hiring on the qualifications.I feel the new system will be abused like the last. I hope my fears do not become reality. There is also one more thing that bothers me that is not discussed in the new system and that is internal hiring. Even though I had ample expierence for a position before I joined the civil service It will not be looked at for an internal position. How are you going to get the best qualified if you dont look at a persons whole life expierences. Thank you for letting me to voice my opinion on this matter. I hope my input helps in some small way.
