1. How can they implement a plan in July when so many issures are not settled yet. They would never impose a policy on active duty military without having the details worked out. 2.It is unrealistic to expect civilans to move anywhere.Military members know that as a possiblity when they join, they are even given the option to put in for the bases they want. It its unrealistic to expect us to move. 3. If the civil service system is being gutted and it is like the private sector then make it fair, remove the preferance for vets. They should be hired, fireded and face a rif just like anyone else. By removing seniority your are taking away the saftey net for people without vet preferance. I have been back with the federal system for three years. I have seen the military deleate civilan jobs to then make it contract for a former military member. One time I saw them take an open gs position, make it contract to gine it to a retirng master sergent, low nad behold when his terminal leave was up it became a civilan job which then he was the best qualified having held it for two months. 4. There is no prtection for civilan workers now as they rapidly deleate cibvilan jobs to make contract. 5. How will the military supervisors be held accountable? I have been back to civil service for three years, The first year I worked I had three different military members as my supervisor. In this time I have had three sqadron comanders and three group comanders. The first squadron commanders did not know how many nurses she had working for her. It must have been hard for her to count so high,as there were only three of us! The miliary make decisions with out thinking on how it impacts on the civil service.
