With implementation of the NSPS, there is a total lack of regard for the employee. Most of us hired 25 years ago, did not come into the federal government with intention of the personnel system being changed to such a degree. We accepted positions in locations we wanted ourselves and families to be in. It would be unfortunate to be deployed in locations which we didn't apply for!! Is this a way to "get rid" and weed out employees - i.e, take it or leave it?! And how many new, young, skilled, intelligent personnel will want to apply for a DoD position under this new pay system? Especially knowing that they can be deployed anywhere. The pay for performance is another joke!! The favoritism already displayed by some managers to their subordinates will worsen. The "buddies" now will be taken care of financially - in addition to awards, workload and leave/time partiality. Retirement can't come soon enough for me!!
