What I would like to know is I’m currently sitting in a GS-5 position with a Bachelor degree in Sociology/criminology I’ve been disqualified from applying for higher position because I did possess one year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade. . Under the NSPS, will this allow me to apply for a higher position without penalizing for not holding the next lower grade?
