This proposed new system will turn the Federal Government into another Wal-mart/ McDonalds. Good Productive, Skilled workers will have their rights STRIPPED away. One of the so-called selling points of the NSPS system is that it would be easier to get rid of unproductive employees. This claim sounds good at first until you think about why there are non-productive people working for the Government in the first place, Political connections, Nepatisum and other forms of corruption. The so called Dead-Wood will continue to stay and would probobly Still get raises while good workers go out the door because someone is Taking Care of Them. This new system will make a Corrupt system even MORE CORRUPT. There are Thousands of Experianced Good people that have dedicated thier lives to supporting the War Fighter. These people will be thrown to the wolves because of inept or corrupt management with NO Safeguards for protection. The Lives of our Warfighters are on the line here. They Deserve better than that. Why are we in Iraq fighting for the rights of thier people while you are trying to strip away the rights of OUR people? You are trying to shove this down our throats saying that, It works for Homeland Security. Well keep in mind that Homeland Security is an agency that was created Out of Thin Air. Everyone more or less started at the same time. With this new system, years of dedicated service can be thrown away because some Unqualified Supervisor that shouldn't be in the position dosen't like someone or rides to work or Drinks with some Dead-Wood that gets to keep thier job. This is nothing more than an Anti-Labor proposition that can be used to drive down the cost of wages and a way of Discriminating against Older workers. We are NOT Deployable Assets. We are People with homes and Families. If you need more Military then re-institute the draft. I see NOTHING GOOD in this new system unless you are a Politition that would benifit from the Campiegn donations and Graft from defense contractors. The Federal worker dosen't Grease the Political Skids and that is what this whole thing is about when you get down to it. The whole thing is a way of getting rid of the worker so that Politically Conected Contractors would get the work. Like I said before, This whole plan will just make a Corrupt system MORE CORRUPT. The American Tax Payers Deserve more than this but, More importantly The War Fighter will suffer. Thier LIVES are on the line
