The answer to #32 of the FAQs states that "currently DoD has the authority to reassign employees and this authority is unaffected by NSPS". It appears that this answer may be referring to an authority unrelated to the question of the authority of the NSPS to define civilian employees as "deployable assets" and to order them anywhere in the world, including war zones, to support the mission. I am a civilian DoD employee. I didn't sign up to be a "deployable asset". Under NSPS, will I now be a member of the armed forces? What happened to being a CIVILIAN DoD employee? Do I have any rights?
