Subpart D – Performance Management §§ 9901.405-406 – Setting and communicating performance expectations and 9901.407-408 – Monitoring performance and providing feedback Mangers will have too much authority to hire and fire, and the good ole boy system will prevail. Having to compete for a top wage will only create animosity amongst workers. All this boils down to if your supervisor likes you. You may be a very good and hard worker but if you have a personality conflict with your supervisor then your out of luck because that supervisor is going to give the raise to the one he/she does like whether they are good worker or not. Older employees will too easily be undermined by younger employees.
