NSPS I believe if properly and fairly implemented, the changes to the current personnel system will be a good thing. The system does need to be updated. Too often the current practices are used to protect substandard employees. I differentiate between substandard and below average. There is a difference. Below average employees can be personnel who do their jobs, just at a different pace. Substandard are the goof offs collecting a paycheck. If this will enhance the chances of releasing these individuals, I'm all for it. Change is the hardest thing to accept and implement. There is a fear factor of the unknown which must be overcome. But with time and understanding all things can be changed. This said, I now express my concerns of the proposed changes with regard to my place of employment. I do not in any way, shape or form trust the current management regime to utilize this policy in any fair and equitable manner. I see this as a weapon in their hands to terminate employees who do not agree with managements decisions on matters at any level. It is a sad situation to be in. In a recent survey of employees, the area which received the largest negative response was the distrust of management. The continued disregard and disrespect of the workforce displayed by management only aggravates this mistrust. Without drastic changes in current thinking at this installation, morale will only continue it's downward trend. Otherwise I am in favor of the changes which are forthcoming. I wish everyone good luck and Godspeed. Sincerely, Edward Myshak
