How will DOD Federal Fire fighters be affected. I read where firefighters will not be affected in pay, but I can't get any anwsers on exactly what that means. We've had the Fire Chiefs, the Union, Civilian Personnel, and not anyone can tell us anything except that if we mess up it will be easy for them to fire us. The Firefighters spent the last 15 years getting our own pay scale which is different from other GS employees and if it affects our step increases then what is going to replace them. I cant find anything now on the web, but about 3 weeks ago I read on the OPM web site where Federal Firefighters would not be affected. It said that this new NSPS does not apply to DOD Firefighters. Is this true? Can you send me the correct information on this matter of how , if and where where DOD Firefighters are or are not affected. Please
