After working 16 years for the government I am concerned that young interns newly hired will be able to displace me. They are recent college graduates and are given every opportunity to rotate in all the different departments to train and learn every aspect of our business. Old employees have never had that opportunity, and graduated from college back in the 20th century. Are we to be punished for being born in the 1950's? If most of the DFAS workforce is going to be at a retireable age in 10 years why is seniority being made an issue? There would be less opposition to NSPS if seniority rights were left as is for the older crowd. I propose leaving seniority alone for all CRS employees and for FERS employees hired before 2000.
