My concern is, I work in a field were my supervisor is a WO1 straight out of warrant school. In this field we get a new warrant officer or NCOIC about every two years. Because of this we are constantly getting different personalities. Under the old system my knowlege, expertize and years of ongoing training on medical equipment, is what matters in my rating and longevity. My supervisors, while being in the maintaince field, have had some training most are not specialized or have had the training, as most of the civilians,in the shop. The military are constantly being moved and trained, to become leaders, which is there job. That makes the cilvilians, in the shop, the continuity for keeping the hospital and patient equipment fuctioning properly. How can you fuction in your job knowing that a person who is going to be there for only around 2 years, now can fire or relieve you, just because of a personality conflict or that they really don't have a understanding of the job as well as you do, but as I have heard thru my 20 years of service: I SAID DO IT BECAUSE I AM THE BOSS!!! (Not a leader) This new proposal is wrong. Instead of having a workforce of experienced and mature employees. There will be a force of employees, afaird to say no even if it is for the good of the system.
