Why is DOD being allowed to bust the unions? They are trying to take the unions away from the Federal worker. They are not negotiating our salaries. They are just telling us what they will be. They are not creating an environment where team work will be appreciated. I feel this system will do just the opposite. Why should I help someone get the credit for work that I will need in my appraisal in order ot get a raise? I really don't understand why all workers are being punished for what a few bad workers are doing. Who will determine new criteria are needed to do a job. You have stated that you may not use OPMs guidelines. What will you do with workers already in these positions if they do not meet your new quidelines? Will they be granfathered in? And what about telling us where we have to move to work? What would congress do if they had to come under a new personnel system that would change their pay by lowering it 10% everytime the public was not happy with their performance? What if we decided all of sudden they were no longer qualified and they had 2 years to either get qualified or leave? What if we told them they would now have to do their jobs from a different state? I know the current system has a few flaws, but it looks to me like the new system has even more. Abolute power corrupts absolutely. Think about it guys before you let this happen to the American Federal Work Force. Please help us to stop this insanity.
