Given that our national policy is one of tough-minded intimidation towards our adversaries and allies alike, NPS will fit nicely within our new order. Employees will have to defeat, their competition, NOTE: we used to call them co-workers, in order to win the favor of their managers. Managers will be free to stalemate, or even demote, any employee who fails to honor and please them. In addition to saving money on COLA’s and longevity raises, other savings can be made by scrapping other anti-administration activities such as EEO, reasonable accommodation, and even more exciting, all that sexual harassment non-sense. We will return to the good old days of the thirty’s and forty’s when a couple of bucks in a plain white envelope will help management with those tough promotion decisions, and of course hiring is simplified by relying on friends and relatives. Performance standards will no longer be tied to a bunch of tired old documents. Managers will again be able to consider intangible attributes, like sports interests, ability to tell a good joke, or who has a beach cottage, boat or season tickets. And of course, a short skirt will once again be worth a few extra points in the competition. If NPS is successful in saving the administration money that can be used for funding more worthy organizations like Haliburton, and Northrop-Grummon, maybe you should look at disbanding the EPA, taxing nursing homes, charging families for transporting their dead soldiers home, and maybe even cutting the salaries of the SES.
