How will NSPS handle disability issues? I am currently a civilian employee with over 20 years service. I have an auto-immune, arthritic related disease that someday may require that I apply for part-time federal work or a disability retirement. I see no mention of this type of problem in the proposed NSPS regulation. Currently, if an employee received disability the COLA's are taken into account. But under NSPS COLA's will be discontinued. How will NSPS handle part-time work and disabilty retirements in a fair manner to long service employees?
