Much of the talk related to NSPS has been about the replacement of the current system and the effect it will have on the current employees. Many of these employees have been here for quite some time and they have been assured that their pay will not decrease when the system changes. However, I started working in the MAS section at Tinker-AFB this January of 2005. When I hired on it was agreed upon that I would start at a GS-09 level and advance to a GS-12 level after a two year training program. When the new system is implemented I am worried that I (and others hiring in under a similar agreement) will be the people who are most affected by the new NSPS change. I am even more troubled by the fact that the "qualifications" for advancement have not yet been released and I do not know what to expect. In summary I am concerned that the contract/agreement under which I was hired will not be honored under the new system even though I was hired under the system currently in place. Thank you for your time and attention.
