I view NSPS as a legal way to implement discrimination and the "good old boy system". The current system works. If there are slackers, the supervisor needs to ensure the person is working an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. That's a part of "supervisor" duties. I see a supervisor taking work away from a person just to write them a bad rating just to get rid of the person. I am a dedicated hard worker and once before the current rules for RIF enabled me to keep a job. DEDICATION, HARD WORK AND LONGEVITY should have its place and not boil down to who a supervisor would retain because of race, personalities and or friendships and I see this happening with NSPS. A person should have a work schedule that is fair. No one should be asked to work an odd schedule at the last minute. If a supervisor does not like a person, what kind of schedule do you think that person is going to get? A lot of personnel are single parents. Is this a way to make them quit? Remember everyone has a personal life. I personally do not want to leave the United States and work in another country, especially a country that does not like Americans. I can see this becoming a health issue. Or is this another way to make people quit? The current laws that are in place to protect against discrimination and give everybody a fair chance are the same laws that should remain in place in the event this does or does not happen need to remain a part of our current system.
