With respect to Subparts C and D, the appropriate provision should be added to establish documentation of employee performance of unpaid worktime. When an employee performs work or provides services beyond his approved schedule and is not entitled to pay, the employee should be given credit and recognized for the extra effort. Within Subpart C, the pay systems should be required to capture these other hours worked. Within Subpart D, the performance management system should be required to include other hours worked. One charactoristic of high performance employees is their dedication to the task. High Performers typicially arrive early and leave late; stay late to finish meetings; get stopped at the door for one more question by the supervisor; and handle the Friday afternoon crisis.
