I HAVE GREAT CONCERNS ABOUT THE NEW PROPOSED DOD SYSTEM FOR THE CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE. I HAD BEEN WORKING FOR THE GOVERNEMENT FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS. ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO I WAS RIFTED BUT I WAS REINSTATED AFTER NINE MONTHS, I LOST A YEAR AND A GRADE BUT I HAVE A JOB. I ALWAYS ENJOY COMING TO WORK SO ARE MANY PEOPLE THAT I KNOW. IM AFRAID THAT THE REGULATIONS WILL AFFECT EMPLOYEES IN A NEGATIVE WAY. 1- THE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT WILL BE TOO SUGGESTIVE. THE EMPLOYEE WILL NOT BE RATED UPON HIS/HER JOB PERFORMANCES; IT WILL BE BASED ON THE SUPERVISORS PERSONAL CHOICE AT THE END. THAT WILL BE TERRIBLE; IT WILL ALLOW AN INCREASE IN SEXUAL HARRASSEMENT CASES. 2- I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE PAY BANDS ISSUE: HOW WILL OUR PAY BE AJUSTED TO THE COST OF LIVINGS? I ADVICE THE OFFICE OF PERSONNL MANAGEMENT TO KEEP THE OLD REGULATIONS ON THESE TWO ISSUES: THE NEW SYSTEM WILL INCREASE UNFAIRNESS TOWARDS LOW RANKING EMPLOYEES. THANK YOU AND I DO APPRECIATE THE TIME.
