Subpart B, 9901.231 -- I am currently serving in a position at a lower grade than that which I had previously attained through merit promotion at another command and location. Therefore, I am eligible for lateral reassignment to any position at the higher grade for which I am qualified. I am concerned that during coversion of employees to the new paybands that my current grade will be in a lower payband than the payband for the grade for which I am eligible to non-competitively attain under the current system. Please provide for consideration of past positions/grades held in determining the appropriate payband so that converted employees are not negatively impacted in this regard.
