I DONT THINK IT IS FAIR THAT SUPERVISOR BE GIVEN THE AUTHORITY TO INCREASE OR DECREASE AN INDIVIDUALS PAY. THIS IS A STICKY SUBJECT. IF THE SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES CAN ELECT TO GIVE THEMSELVELS A PAY INCREASE, THEN WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WAY THE SYSTEM FOR THE CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES?. I DONT FEEL THAT OUR SENATORS OR REPRESENTATIVES SHOULD VOTE FOR A RAISE FOR THEMSELVELS. WHY CAN'T THAT DECISION BE MAKE BY THE PRESIDENT?? I THOUGHT SO. IF I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOTE MYSELF AN INCREASE, IT WOULD PROBABLY HAPPEN EVERY TIME I AM ASKED. I AM A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE AND I KNOW THAT WE WORK HARD. WE DESERVE EACH CENT WE GET. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW WE GOT THE REPUTATION FOR BEING LAZY?? IT MUST HAVE COME FROM THE SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES!. IF ANYONE IS LAZY, THEY ARE. WHAT DO THEY DOOTHER THAN ATTENDING MEETINGS? IF I COULD GET PAIID HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS JUST TO TALK, I'D BE VERY WEALTHY. LET THE SYSTEM STAY AS IT IS. WE DESERVE ANY INCREASES AS WE EARNTHEM. IT WOULD BE ASHAME IF A PERSON WHO WORKED FOR THE GOVERNMENT FOR 15 YEARS RECIEVED THE SAME PAY AS SOMEONE WHO ONLY WORKED FOR FIVE. THAT WOULD NOT LOOK GOOD AS FAR AS THE GOVERNMENT JOBS ARE CONCERNED. I AM HAPPY THAT I AM A CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE WITH DOD. I DONT WANT TO APPLY FOR ANY OTHER JOB. I AM HAPPY WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT AT THIS POINT. I GUESS IF THE RULES CHANGE, I WILL ADDRESS MY SITUATION AT THAT TIME. I AM REQUESTING THAT WE STILL BE ALLOWED TO LET THE SYSTEM REMAIN AS IT IS.
