General overall feelings of NSPS. page 7560( Performance-Based Pay) I believe the new system will do away with Team Building that the government has spent millions on in the last few years to develop. If an employee knows that their supervisor has only a limited amount of funds to give out as a bonus, for the best performers, then fellow employees are not going to look out for each other for the good of the organization. Instead of helping each other and making things right, they will let an individual fail in the eyes of their supervisor to have a better chance that they will get the bonus for outstanding performance. I've been in this canoe club for over 34 years and I know how it works. The good ol' boy system is alive and well and those that are friends to the boss will reap the rewards. page 7561(Pay Administration) I am very disappointed that the old system that for fathers and grandfathers had to fight (and strike) to force management to treat employees as human beings instead of beasts of burden is being attacked. The FLSA took over a year to develop and this new system is nothing but a promise that if we give you the go ahead on some ideas then you will do things right when you put it down on paper. I believe that I read that a handful of management got together and knocked this thing out in a few weeks! Go blow smoke elsewhere! There's no way that an in depth look at all of the proposed changes and the cause and effects of these changes could be properly evaluated. This is nothing more than a union buster and we're egressing to the days of Jimmy Hoffa again. Those that fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it! I believe that others as myself will be watching for all those that support this farce and will ensure that they do not receive our votes in future elections! Both Congress and the Senate needs to be place on the same system, with the constituents providing feedback on their performance to determine their pay.
