Subpart A- General Provisions subsection 9901.101, Responsive Workforce and Management states that: workforce can be easily sized, shaped, and deployed to meet changing mission requirements. From everything I've heard, this includes sending civilian workers to war zones/combat areas. I for one will not accept a mandatory deployment to a war zone and will quit Federal service if I am DRAFTED. I have no problem with civialians volunteering to go to combat areas, but people need to be given a choice. I have been detailed to overseas areas in the past, and will continue to apply for detail in the future, but my one requirement is that I do not go to a war zone. I think too many people are commenting about possible income changes due to NSPS, and are not worring that it may cost them their lives.
