I am very uncomfortable with giving management more power than it has now. In my experience, supervisors are only interested in their own careers and salaries and don't understand or care about employee rights. At my organization, management has NEVER won a case against the union - WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU? If NSPS weakens the unions to the point they are ineffective, employees will resort to the courts to make their case. THE ONLY REASON FOR A UNION IS TO OFFSET BAD MANAGEMENT. The current system allows for management to get rid of poor performers if they will get off their lazy duffs and do it. I just wish the system allowed for good employees to get rid of bad management (put that in NSPS and see how management likes it).
