The streamlining of appeals processes is a good thing for the employees. Also, I like that the AJs have to understand that they will have to take into account the DoD mission or they could be overruled. However, what is to prevent DoD from always overruling the AJs ... just because? Also, I like it that union reps will now be held accountable for actionable misconduct rather than the higher, more onerous standard of "flagrant misconduct". Wrong is wrong regardless of who does it and who they represent.
